When Quadra does NOT have the expander connected, it is important to put jumpers onto the XPAND1 - XPAND3 headers before powering on the module. The XPAND4 header does not require jumpers.
These are standard 0.100" jumpers / shunts and will ship with any Quadra we sell, but they can be acquired through most stores that sell electronic parts.
